A Case of Hereditary Spherocytosis with an Aplastic Crisis

Abstract
The authors experienced a case clinically considered as herpes zoster oticus. A 25 years old male visited this hospital because of otalgia and facial paralysis. Several herpetic blisters on the posterior surface of the auricle associated with facial paralysis on the same side are observed. He complained of tinntus, but there was no hearing impairment or vertigo. For this case, prednisolone, antibiotics and physical therapy were started, and the paralysis disappeared after 5 weeks of treatment as satisfactory result.
